Some things about me

Mikala did a little interview and I volunteered for her to interview me. Here are the 5 questions she asked me and my answers.

1.How did you meet LD and how long were you dating before he popped the question?
I meet LD through eHarmony. Having a 6 year old and mainly married friends I wasn't doing so well with the whole dating thing. I had a friend suggest eHarmony and I thought hey why not. It took a while, but after a few first dates with other people I lucked out. We had been dating 9 months when he popped the question. Fast I know, but it was just right.

2.What's the biggest mistake you've ever made?
That is a tough question. I have a lot of “what ifs”, but nothing I would consider a mistake. All my choices have gotten me to where I am today. I could say that one mistake was not listening to my gut when it told me to break up with Munchkin's father, but if I would have done that I wouldn't have Munchkin. So I wouldn't call it a mistake. If I really had to make a choice I would say that it was quiting Weight Watchers over a year ago. It really worked for me and I dropped 40lbs and then I quit and it all came back.

3.Do you have any allergies? If so, what are they?
I am allergic to bees, wasp, etc. When I get stung, that area swells up about 3 times its normal size. One year I was stung on my foot and it swelled so bad I couldn't walk on it for weeks. That was the year the doctor made me carry around a bee sting kit, which included a shot I had to give myself. Luckily I have never had to use it.

4.Do you have a specific talent you are proud of? If so, what is it?I can dance and choreograph pretty well. At least I think I can. I can sing, but I am too shy to sing in public, at least by myself. I have actually performed in a few musicals. Another fun “talent” is that I can fit my mouth around a mason jar. You find your most impressive talents when you are drunk.

5.How many siblings do you have? Tell us about them and if you are close.
This could take a while. I have 5 siblings, 2 older brothers and 3 younger sisters. I am the middle child and somewhat the odd ball. My brothers are very close I guess cause they are the boys. My younger sisters are all pretty close because they have similar interests. They all did the cheerleading stuff and I did choir and drama. They all do the whole bar and nightclub thing and I stay home and raise a kid. They all work late nights at restaurants and I work “normal 9-5 hours”. Despite all our differences though we all love to get together and goof around at least once a month. This family time is gonna be missed so much when I move.

If anyone is interested in me interviewing you let just drop a comment with your email and I will send you 5 questions. The questions will be different than the above ones.

Here is another little thing. I thought since I don't get to post often I would leave you with 2 things. Maybe it will keep you occupied until next week.

I got this from Star8278 and thought it looked like fun.

1. Go to Pop Culture Madness
2. Pick the year you turned 18
3. Get yourself nostalgic over the song's of the year
4. Write something about how the song affected you
5. Pass it on to 5 more friends

I turned 18 10 days before 1998, so here are the top songs for 1997.

1997's Greatest Hits
1. Barbie Girl - Aqua
I loved this song. I still have the CD for this group.
2. ESPN Presents Jock Jams - Various Artists I had a guy friend that owned this CD. It was all he listened to in the car. We constantly were hearing "Are you Ready"
3. Wannabe - Spice Girls
Another song I loved. My friends and I dressed as the spice girls for Halloween one year. I got to be scary spice cause I had the darkest skin.
4. Tubthumping - Chumbawamba
I get knocked down and I get up again......I knew those words without having to look them up. Pathetic. My dad loved this song, so I bought it for him. He played it all the time.
5. To The Moon and Back - Savage Garden
I don't remember this song, but I have the CD. Actually it is on my iPod, but I guess I don't really like that song cause I can't remember what it sounds like.
6. You Make Me Wanna - Usher
I used to know all the words to this song. I owned the single and listened to it constantly.
7. I Like It Like That - Blackout All-Stars
I kinda remember this song, but don't have any stories to go with it.
8. Hard To Say I'm Sorry - Az Yet
Don't remember this song.
9. Crash Into Me - Dave Matthews Band
This is probably the only DMB song I like. I know they were big and Everyone I knew loved them, but I couldn't stand them.
10. It's Your Love - Tim McGraw & Faith Hill
Tim McGraw is hot. Enough said. haha. I love this song and thought the video was really neat since Faith was hugely pregnant in it, but still beautiful.

That's a fun meme. I was also 18 in 1997. It's neat seeing those old songs.

Okey dokey.. here's your interview questions (sorry didn't have your email address to send them too)

1. You mentioned meeting your fiancee online. What suggestions would you have for someone just trying internet dating for the first time?
2. Being a single mom, what has been your hardest obstacle to overcome?
3. Finish this... "To me, Love is____."
4. Where do you see yourself in 1 year? 5 years? 10 years?
5. If you could have one moment in your life to do over? What, when and why?
